Modified Power: Rangiku is skilled at wood burning, and gets along well with cats. She keeps a light grey kitten that she’s named Haineko with her whenever she can.

Personality: Beautiful, moody, and selfish are three words that some use to describe Matsumoto Rangiku, and while these assessments may be true, if you were to get close enough to her you would see she is so much more than that. She is also caring, compassionate, and stubborn, and refuses to go down without a fight.

To those who she considers friend, Rangiku would do anything in her power to help when they need it. She refuses to tolerate people who only see her as a pretty face and can’t look beyond the physical to see the tough woman underneath. Just because she has a big chest that doesn’t make her stupid or useless, and she is not above punching any idiot who thinks those things about her.

Loyal and kind-hearted, she is known for her tendency to drink too much and complain about the size of her chest, but she has no problem using those assets to her advantage if the moment arises. She also has a rather lewd sense of humor, and likes to see herself as “just one of the guys.”

History: Orphaned since before she could remember, Rangiku grew up fending for herself until the day she was found nearly unconscious by the man who shaped her future, Ichimaru Gin. He gave her food and took her in, helping her to learn how to survive on the streets.

Having always been a fighter, Rangiku did her best to get odd jobs and try to find ways to bring in money for herself and her savior, one day coming upon a man who practiced the art of wood burning. The man took a liking to Rangiku’s attitude and decided to teach her the skill, and in time she discovered the she was actually quite good at it.

What she was not good at, however, was keeping her temper in check - a fact which many a man discovered the hard way when he would stare a little too long at the quickly blossoming teenager. She knew that she had a few qualities that she would always have difficulty hiding, and as such learned the martial art of savate in an effort to better defend herself.

She always knew that Gin would leave her, and when he got accepted to a prestigious school she did everything she could to save up the money to follow him. Putting forth all of her efforts into one day reuniting with the man she realized too late that she loved, Rangiku decided to chance applying there, hoping that she would learn good skills to help carry her through life and to help her finally prove her worth to the one person who had saved her.
